Think differently about work

We help people with disability use their interests and skills to create a job perfectly suited to them.

We make sure they have the support and tools they need to do the job they designed, now and into the future.

What is a microenterprise?

A microenterprise is a very small business. Microenterprises are simple to start and don’t require a lot of money to get going.

A microenterprise isn’t designed to make huge amounts of money (although it might). IInstead, it gives people who don't fit into traditional employment find purpose and connection.

Starting a microenterprise

If you are interested in starting a microenterprise we will work with you to understand your skills and interests.

We’ll help you choose what your job will look like, and make sure you have the people and services around you to make it work.

Having a job can help you:

  • feel more independent
  • find a sense of pride and purpose in your work
  • build connections and friendships with other people.

With a microbusiness, you get all the benefits of employment without having to fit into a traditional job. You also don’t have to seek accommodations in a workplace that isn’t built for you.

Feel empowered to build a job that works for you.

Who we work with

We help to start microenterprises with people with disability.

It might be for you if you:

  • find traditional work challenging or not suited to your skills
  • would like to feel more independent and in control of how you spend your time
  • want to get more involved in your community.

You don't have to have an idea for a microenterprise.

Get started

Are you interested in starting your own microenterprise, or want to help someone you work with or support on their microenterprise journey?

The first step is to contact us.

When you contact us, we will set up a meeting in person, on the phone, or on a video call – whatever works best for you. In the meeting we will:

  1. talk to you about your strengths and talents
  2. understand what a good job would be for you (you might not know yet, and that's ok)
  3. help you decide if starting a microenterprise is right for you.

It’s important to work with people you like and trust. Starting with a meeting gives you a chance to understand if we’re a good fit.
