Our community belonging program empowers people to connect with their abilities – and with each other – through sport and exercise.
Through this program we've developed a range of resources for our community that help you get involved and stay active.
Our community belonging program started as a way to encourage people with disability to get involved in sport. Over time, it expanded into establishing pathways for people with disability to get active in volunteering and other forms of participation.
Our work has included:
Our work has been guided by a steering committee of people with diverse life experiences. This includes lived experience of disability.
Fitness is important for your physical and mental health, and can support you along the journey of life. We've captured the stories of people with disability who believe in the power of exercise. These videos are designed to help others feel supported and encouraged to get involved and try something new.
Involvement takes energy!
We don’t just want you to get involved, we want to help you stay involved by supporting your health and nutrition. We've developed a range of video resources to help you make a happier plate, and make sure your food works for you.
As part of this program, we developed a range of video resources to encourage the wider community to rethink inclusion and belonging.
